We provide public safety professionals and community leaders across Canada with bilingual, consistent, and aligned public safety programming, campaigns, and related educational materials that benefit all Canadians. We develop and deliver public safety training to enhance both skill and knowledge development, and to develop public safety leaders. CanOps will work with your organization to find innovative, cost-effective solutions to fill your education and training needs.
CanOps’ Canadian Public Safety Resource Centre was established in 2017 to address gaps identified by communities, departments, and governments of all levels, on the subject of public safety education and prevention. Since then, it has expanded to include supply management of emergency related equipment and supplies, as well as partnering with organizations to assist in the delivery of their products to stakeholders across Canada.
Through developing new public safety products and education campaigns, sponsorship opportunities, and partnerships with experts in the field, CanOps is able to provide the advantage of low pricing, and the accessibility of bilingual, national programs and material to public safety entities across Canada.

Since 1922, the NFPA has sponsored the public observance of Fire Prevention Week. In 1925, President Calvin Coolidge proclaimed Fire Prevention Week a national observance, making it the longest-running public health observance in our country. During Fire Prevention Week, children, adults, and teachers learn how to stay safe in case of a fire. Firefighters provide lifesaving public education in an effort to drastically decrease casualties caused by fires. Fire Prevention Week is observed each year during the week of October 9th in commemoration of the Great Chicago Fire, which began on October 8, 1871, and caused devastating damage. This horrific conflagration killed more than 250 people, left 100,000 homeless, destroyed more than 17,400 structures, and burned more than 2,000 acres of land.
