Janelle Jackiw
Executive Director, Strategic Solutions
Janelle Jackiw brings over 22 years of experience to her role as Executive Director of Strategic Solutions. Previous to her role with CanOps, Janelle worked as an Executive Director with the Saskatchewan Ministry of Justice Attorney General/Ministry of Corrections, Policy and Public Safety in the area of strategic planning, program evaluation, policy development and improvement/innovation. She holds a Master’s Degree in Criminology from Simon Fraser University and a Master’s Degree in Psychology from the University of Regina, a certificate in Leadership Development with the University of Saskatchewan, and has completed the Executive Education Program with the Government of Saskatchewan.
She has lead a number of high profile projects in the area of public safety and has supported Deputy Minister’s on Federal, Provincial and Territorial priorities in the area of Justice and Public Safety. She is an energetic and passionate leader who believes in establishing effective professional relationships internally and externally and values the perspective and partnership of our partners and community stakeholders.
In her role as the Executive Director Strategic Solutions, Janelle is responsible for identifying and driving strategic growth of CanOps’ services across Canada, as well provide leadership and direction on strategic projects. She plays a key role in business development planning and assessment, building key relationships, identifying business opportunities and strategic solutions to public safety issues.
Outside of CanOps, Janelle teaches at the University of Regina and has her own private clinical counseling practice to help support people’s mental health and wellbeing. She enjoys travel, has participated in 18 half marathons, and enjoys a good book! She and her husband and two children reside in Regina.
